New Delhi:  The release of Bollywood film ‘Mohalla Assi’ has been restrained by a Delhi Court today after finding that it was hurting religious sentiments. The Court has also said that the film should not hit the theatres till the alleged offending scenes and dialogues are removed.

The court restrained the movie’s director, producer and Central Board of Film Certificate (CBFC) from releasing the film on July 3 till further orders. The film stars Sunny Deol, Ravi Kishan, Sakshi Tanwar among others.

The film is based on the surroundings of the Assi Ghat in Varanasi, a popular tourist spot on the banks of river Ganga in Uttar Pradesh.

A complaint was filed by a Delhi resident, Gulshan Kumar claiming that a character in the film dressed as Lord Shiva has been depicted using “very abusive and filthy language”, charging few hundred rupees for snaps with people at the Ghat.

Noting that of some of the scenes could hurt religious sentiments, Civil Judge Kishor Kumar said, “Use of such language by Lord Shiva makeover is really hurting… Therefore, at this stage, a prima facie case is made out that until the religiously hurting scenes and dialogues/words wherein the abusive and filthy language has been used, are removed, the movie should not be released”.

The court directed Mr Kumar to get the order served to the defendants who have also been summoned for the next hearing on July 13.

The trailer of the film has been available on social media portals since June 12 and Mr Kumar saw it for the first time on his mobile on WhatsApp on June 26.

Unlike most emerging stars in Bollywood, actor Tiger Shroff said that he doesn’t want to work with any of the Hindi film industry’s top three Khans – Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir. He has his own reasons for it.

At an event here to unveil the new initiative of a fashion store, Tiger was asked that out of the three, whom would he would like to work with.

He said: “None of them. Who would watch me then?”

Tiger made his Bollywood debut with Sabbir Khan’s 2014 film Heropanti opposite newcomer Kriti Sanon. He is currently busy with Sabbir’s Baaghi co-starring Shraddha Kapoor.

He will also be seen in director-choreographer Remo D’Souza yet-untitled film, in which he will seen opposite Jacqueline Fernandez. It is being produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms Ltd.

Meanwhile, Tiger’s music video Zindagi Aa Raha Hu Main with singer Atif Aslam has also been appreciated by the audience.

GUDDU RANGEELA, SECOND HAND HUSBAND And TERMINATOR Take Poor Start

On expected lines, all new releases have taken a very poor start. All Hollywood releases and Bollywood releases are in almost no hope zone and it seems that ”ABCD 2” will dominate for one more week.

”Guddu Rangeela” was expected to lead among new releases which its doning but opening is poor. Fox Star might suffer with one more flop unless it shows dramatic turnaround from today evening onwards riding on good word of mouth. As per early trends, film will find it tough to cross 2.75 cr nett and anything less than 3 cr nett will be a poor result. .
”Second Hand Husband” was even poorer and it seems that except Punjab film will find tough to even register a decent number. Presence of Punjabi star Gippy Grewal might push the film in north but overall this debut film of Govinda”s daughter Tina Ahuja looks like washout.

”Bejubaan Ishq” is washout and even big Hollywood release ”Terminator” is struggling all over.

ABCD 2 Collects 97 Cr Nett Total After 2nd Week

Varun Dhawan is doing some unimaginable things at box office. He has yet to give a flop even after 4 years in industry and now he is back with another potential super hit film ”ABCD 2” Film is directed by choreographer turned director Remo D Souza and producer by Disney.
 
Film released in 2300 screens in India in 2D , 3D and 4DX versions. Film is targeted at masses as well as classes but especially youth. Film took a solid start in Mumbai despite rain while Bangalore, Mysore and Pune but were even better. Territories like Rajasthan, CP and CI are superb . Day two and weekend were equally good and film maintained its speed at box office.

Film collected 14.30 cr nett on day one despite rain in Mumbai and Maharashtra. This was highest opener for Varun Dhawan by big margin and highest opener of 2015. Film added even better 14.54 cr nett on Saturday followed by 17.51 cr nett. Film managed to held strongly on Monday despite rains and very good weekend. Film scored 8.05 cr nett on Monday which was only 35% drop form Friday. Film added steady 6.77 cr nett on Tuesday, followed by 5.68 cr nett on Wednesday and 4.93 cr nett on Thursday. Film collected 71.78 cr nett in week one which was best week one at box office in 2015.

Film dropped by 75% on 2nd Friday and collected 3.71 cr nett. Film was good all over except in East Punjab where it was hit by regional film ”Sardaarji”. Film jumped big on 2nd Saturday with 55% and collected 5.77 cr nett. Film jumped on Sunday again and collected 7.40 cr nett with 16.25 cr nett total in 2nd weekend. Film has solid Monday with 2.80 cr nett and that was less than 30% drop from 2nd Friday.Film added 2.02 cr nett on 2nd Tuesday followed by 1.91 cr nett on 2nd Wednesday and 1.79 cr nett on Thursday. Film will cross 26 cr nett in 2nd week.

Film has total of 97.04 cr nett in 14 days and it should dominate 3rd week on week too as there is not much competition. Film dropped by only 68% from week one. 3rd week will get it pass 100 cr nett barrier. Film has added 15 cr in overseas which is good. Already a hit!

Known for his roles in films like “3 Idiots”, “Golmaal”, actor Sharman Joshi may be roped in for the role of Sumit, the protagonist in the forthcoming Indian sitcom television series “Sumit Sambhal Lega”, an Indian adaptation of US sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond”.

The makers have approached Sharman, who is known for his humorous roles in several films, to feature in the series.

“The makers feel that Sharman comes close to Raymond. He is funny, expressive and relatable,” a source said in a statement.

The story will revolve around Sumit, the Indian ‘Raymond’, who will always be stuck in sticky family situations, leading to humorous moments.

The channel has roped in the writer of the original series, Steve Skrovan, to add the right punches.

Sharman was last seen in the film “SuperNani”, which was based on the Gujarati play, “Baa Ae Maari Boundary”.

“Sumit Sambhal Lega” is scheduled to premiere this year in July on Star Plus.

Bhushan Kumar who is keen on bringing back the phenomenon of Indie music is glad to announce his next which is most close to his heart. We are talking about his next single by Yo Yo Honey Singh which is the singer-composer’s tribute to Bhushan Kumar’s father Shri Gulshan Kumar. Honey Singh who has huge respect for Shri Gulshan Kumar has recreated his memorable cult song ‘Dheere Dheere Se’ from ‘Aashiqui’ and revised the lyrics for the new track. A love song by one of the country’s most popular artist definitely needs a face who has stolen the audiences’ hearts and that’s when instantly Bhushan finalized on the Greek God of Hindi film industry Hrithik Roshan. Bhushan Kumar is grateful that both these two superstars Hrithik Roshan and Yo Yo Honey Singh did this and that too, without charging a single penny.

Bhushan Kumar is enthusiastic about recreating his father’s most romantic track ‘Dheere Dheere Se’ of the cult film ‘Aashiqui’. Bhushan says, “I was just 12 then in 1990, when I was mad about the music of Salman Khan’s ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. In those days, the trend was to release film music months in advance and so, ‘Aashiqui’ music too was released four months before the release of the film. Since my father Gulshan Kumar had produced the film, we had access to the music much before it was in the market. I remember whenever I went with papa in his car; I would take my favourite cassette and play it. So I started playing ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ that was not our music, but of a competitor. Papa gave me the ‘Aashiqui’ cassette and told me, `Listen to this. This is from our film.’ I started hearing it and till today, that album remains on my playlist. I remember him telling me that his most favourite song ever was `Dheere Dheere Se’. Papa died in 1997. When Yo Yo Honey Singh met me for the first time, he told me how he respected my father so much and he had dream of one day working with him. He had read somewhere that`Dheere Dheere Se’ was my father’s favourite song and said that he wanted to recreate it for him and that too for free, even though he otherwise charges a huge amount. He started the work but then fell ill last year. During his illness, I met him three times at his house. I met him first time, then second time during my sister’s wedding, but it was on my third visit only, when Honey was feeling much better and had started composing again, that I asked him if he felt comfortable to finish the song, as I wanted to pay a tribute to my father as ‘Aashiqui’ completes 25 years. And Honey completed the song. I then went to Hrithik Roshan, who was my first choice to dance on the single. I made him listen to the song without telling him the purpose for which I was making it. He loved it, but didn’t see the reason why he should dance to an old recreated song, given that Hrithik has never ever been part of a single song video. I then told Hrithik my reasons for making it and within a second he said,`I am doing it for Gulshanji. That will be my only reason to dance to it.’”

While Hrithik and Yo Yo Honey Singh are both doing it for free, Bhushan is doing it only for emotional reasons and he is clear that there is no money to be made on this. If he lands up making any, it would have to go to charity for sure. Bhushan Kumar who credits his and T-Series’ identity and growth to his father’s dream is keen to launch the new song soon.

This year’s big fat Bollywood wedding is almost upon us. Actor Shahid Kapoor, 34, will marry Delhi girl Mira Rajput, 21, on July 7 and here’s everything we know about the shaadi so far.

The bride and groom:
Much has been made of the 13-year gap between Shahid and Mira, who just graduated from Delhi’s Lady Shri Ram college. They are believed to have met through the religious group Radha Soami Satsang, of which both families are members. Shahid’s mother Neelima Azim described Mira as “sweet and extremely affectionate” in an interview to mid-day in May.

The wedding venue:
The wedding, with rituals in traditional Punjabi style, will be held at the Trident Hotel in Gurgaon, contrary to early reports that a destination wedding was planned in Greece. The hotel has been prepping for the nuptials some days and Shahid’s family were spotted arriving at the Trident on Sunday. Those photographed included his father Pankaj Kapur, step-mother Supriya Pathak, and step-siblings Sanaah and Ruhaan.

The card:
Designed by Ravish Kapoor of Delhi, the turquoise and cream invite followed Shahid’s brief of ‘elegant yet simple’ and included hand-crafted tea – Pankaj Kapur is a tea connoisseur – and honey. Shahid personally picked everything – the colours, the gifts, the peacock logo. Some 500 guests have been invited, Mr Kapoor told PTI.

The guest list:
It’s going to be an intimate affair. Some 500 guests have been invited, Mr Kapoor told PTI. These are believed to include just close family, very few friends and some members of the Radha Soami Satsang. Mira is believed to have told several friends not on the list that they were asked to keep the wedding small.

Pre and post-wedding celebrations:
A mehendi and a sangeet will reportedly be held at the Trident on Monday. According to a report in mid-day, the sangeet playlist includes several of Shahid’s hits – Mauja Hi Mauja, Sari Ke Fall Sa and Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hain. A reception will reportedly be held in Mumbai on July 12, for which there will be a separate invite – also designed by Ravish Kapoor – sent out.

The menu:

The wedding feast is apparently going to consist of vegetarian fare, in keeping with the Radha Soami principles. Guests at the reception, however, will be able to load their plates with non-vegetarian delicacies. Among other goodies, these personalized chocolate bars have been created for the shaadi by Delhi-based bakery Smitten:

Honeymoon?:
Apparently, there may not be one. Shahid, still fresh from his triumph last year with Haider, has now been drafted into the judging panel of the new season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and his shoot commitments may not leave him enough time to whisk his new bride away for the customary honeymoon. Some months ago, newlyweds Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu also skipped a honeymoon because of work.

What everyone’s been saying:

People have been talking about Shahid’s wedding for months now. In June, the actor told NDTV, “It’s surprising how others know more about my wedding than I do. I want to tell the people out there that like I update them about my films, I will also update you about my personal life.” Supriya Pathak, quizzed about preps at the launch of the trailer of her new film All Is Well last week, said rather succinctly, “Lots of things happening. It is like a normal wedding house I suppose.” Actress Kareena Kapoor, who dated Shahid some years ago, famously told the press she would be happy to attend the wedding if invited. There is no word if she has been.

BJP MP Hema Malini, who was discharged from a Jaipur hospital after her Mercedes collided with another car leaving a child dead and injuring four others, has offered financial assistance to families of the victims.

The 66-year-old actor-politician reached Mumbai by a chartered plane, accompanied by her daughter Esha Deol and son-in-law Bharat Takhtani.

Talking to reporters outside Hema Malini’s residence in Juhu, Esha said, “My mother will help the families of victims. She is doing this not because she is a neta (leader) but because she is a good human being as well.”

On Thursday night, the car in which Hema Malini was travelling rammed into another car coming from the opposite direction in Dausa district of Rajasthan, killing a two-year-old girl and leaving four others injured.

“Jab accident hua tab mummy ki jo condition thi wo kisi aur ke baare me kaise soch sakti thi. Koi bhi nahi soch pa raha tha, par hame afsos hai us pariwar ne apna khoya hai (When the accident took place, my mother as well as the family was not in a condition to comprehend anything but we are sad that a family has lost a dear one),” Esha said.

“When the accident happened she was asleep. She had told everyone to wear their seat belts. But achanak picche se jor ka dhakka laga (suddenly we felt jolt from the rear side),” she said.

“The accident was very bad. It was traumatic so no one was in a state to talk or think anything,” she said. Esha informed that Hema Malini has been advised rest for now.

“Doctors have asked her to take rest at home. She is a bit better now. She is fine. She wants to rest now. She is not meeting anyone. She will relax for a day or two and then she will meet (people),” she added.

The actress, who was discharged from hospital, had undergone a surgery for her wounds at the Fortis hospital. She was also treated for a minor fracture on her nose.

In Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman stars as a Hanuman devotee who commits to helping a little girl return home to Pakistan. Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui co-star and the film is directed by Kabir Khan, who directed Salman in 2013 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger.
